Root to Rise

A Spring Day Retreat of Breath, Movement, and Herbcrafting

| Movement | Mindset | Well-being |

Spring does not demand that we bloom overnight.
It invites us to thaw.

Root to Rise is a one-day immersive retreat designed to support the gentle transition from winter inwardness into spring emergence. Held in the forest yurt at the Salmo For-Rest Retreat, this experience weaves together breath, movement, herbal crafting, and deep rest to help you reconnect with your body and clarify your intentions for the season ahead.

This is not a high-energy reset.
It is a regulated awakening.

What our day includes

  • Restorative Awakening Yoga – We begin with slow, grounding movement to awaken the joints, fascia, and breath. This practice is accessible and supportive, designed to regulate, ground and support the nervous system.

  • Tantrayana Yoga Breathwork – Guided Amber, we will explore Tantrayana-inspired practices including Breath of Joy and Tibetan Lu Jong nine point breathing. These techniques support circulation, emotional release, and subtle energetic flow while remaining steady and embodied.

  • Journaling & Intention Setting – Intentional journaling prompts will offer space to reflect on what is ready to emerge this spring. You will have quiet time to listen inward, without pressure to share unless you feel called.

  • Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation – With tea in your system and intention in your heart, you will be guided into a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra practice. This is where integration happens. Where clarity settles. Where the nervous system recalibrates.

  • Herbal Tea Crafting Workshop – Throughout the day, you will be introduced to eight carefully selected spring-aligned herbs. You will learn their properties, energetics, and how they can be blended intentionally. Each participant will create their own custom herbal tea blend to support their personal spring intention that can be taken and used beyond the retreat to continue deepening the connection and intention. Before our afternoon Yoga Nidra Guided Medtation, we will sit together and slowly sip our handcrafted tea. This ritual anchors your intention physically and energetically, allowing the body to participate in your seasonal shift.

  • Sauna & Cold Plunge – We close the day with optional sauna and cold plunge access. This contrast experience supports circulation, detoxification, and renewal, completing the arc of release and reawakening.

  • Tea & Light Snacks – Nourishing treats and herbal teas to keep you grounded and refreshed throughout the day.

  • Sacred Swag Bags – Each participant will receive a thoughtfully curated bag filled with goodies to support your journey beyond this gathering.
